Maldives is a beautiful destination and perfect for not only honeymooners, but for families with kids too.
1) It is a huge Sand pit!!
Now, is there any toddler in the world (or even an adult) who does not like his time in the sand pit? and to top it there is white soft sand everywhere!
2) Splash pool!
If there is any other thing that a toddler enjoys as much as a sand pit play , that is a splash pool .
Bingo! the waters around most island are calm perfect for your toddler to walk , jump , splash and explore.
3) Explore some WILD life
your toddlers / kids would love exploring small hermit crabs, feeding fish, watch colour ful fish around the island and also turtles in some resorts. you can also opt to the dolphin cruise which is fabulous.
4) play area
most resorts have dedicated play area and kids pools. also some resorts provide baby sitting services at a fee.
5) food for every taste
most resorts offer buffet options for all meals, especially the all inclusive resorts. the advantage of this is that there is definitely something that you child will like!
full tummies make happy people :)
6) parents enjoy too!
with food and entertainment for kids/ toddlers settled, parents also get to sit back and relax. afterall this is what a beach destination is all about.
7) watch gorgeous sunsets -
my favorite thing to do on a holiday, especially a beach vacation!
and Maldivian sunsets are so gorgeous!
8) life is a BEACH -
just relax and unwind. the only sounds that you hear are the ocean and wind and the laughter of your family.
here are also some ways to make it easy to travel with your toddler to maldives:
1) sunscreen-
the most important thing to carry to Maldives in my opinion. carry a hypoallergic, water resistant variety for your kid. apply often and you dont need to worry about your little people getting sun burnt.
2) sunglasses -
trust me , the sun is super bright in this part of the world. the shades are your best friend.
3) swim gear-
swim goggles, beach footwear, floating accessories and snorkeling masks and flaps - whatever you need, it is better to carry along as purchasing or renting is not only expensive, but also not the most hygienic option.
4) hydrate often-
juice, water, smoothies- whatever your child likes. its hot and dehydrating.
5) stroller is not required on most resorts as you can usually walk the circumference of any island in less than an hour. if you must bring the stroller, bring an all terrain one, that will also let you use it on sand.
6) mosquito/bug repellant -
in the evening, this might be a problem. better to carry one with you.
7) swim nappies
